A HUGE Perk of Working at a Literary Agency is...

Okay, so I've been working at a literary agency for about three weeks now--want to know what the biggest perk is so far?

I get to read THIS before it hits the shelves.

SONGS OF WILLOW FROST by Jamie Ford

I just finished chapter three and IT IS SO GOOD. Jamie is an amazing writer that creates characters you immediately connect with. For all my bookish friends out there--this is the next book I won't be able to shut up about.

SONGS OF WILLOW FROST will be available September 10th!

My Writer's Dog--Red Dog!

Red Dog
Some of you may remember from my facebook posts that we adopted a senior dog, named RED DOG, back in March who was going to be put down. I was going through the pictures off my old phone and found this one from our last camping trip. So cool, I had to share.

She has become a fully integrated family member!

Looking for a pet? Consider adoption! There are some great friends at your local shelter just waiting for a loving home.

Nelson Literary Agency Assistant

If you subscribe to the Nelson Literary Agency Newsletter, you may have read last week that their Submissions and Asian Territory Rights Coordinator, Anita Mumm, is leaving the agency to pursue other adventures.

For the last four years, I have worked as a school psychologist and have enjoyed every minute spent working with kids, their families, and educators; however, my entire life has been spent in a love affair with books. Starting next week, I will begin a new adventure of my own as the new assistant at Nelson Literary Agency.

While I will miss working with the wonderful people (the grownups and the kids) I have come to know and respect over the years, I am very excited for this opportunity to merge a personal passion with my professional time under the umbrella of an industry I have always loved.
