Who Do You Think You Are?

Our Deepest Fear--Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

  3. This is lovely. Thank you for sharing it!

  4. Government makes me freeze
    an excuse to be sure

I look out at our predicament and am discouraged
    Dreaming of change
    My dreams stay there

    I make a joke

I think about all the effort
all the arguments soon to follow

Then I say fuck it and write
    I write nonsense with intent

Hoping that my words can stir something
A motivation that I always push back
    One that could force awakening

There are so many riots to join

There is chaos that can turn to roses
    a beautiful landscape

    Something wants to punch through
    But dreaming of waking?

Can logic fail so we can move forward?

  5. How wonderful and inspiring, Becky. Thanks for sharing it.
